BY JOHN GUADAGNO

As 2021 comes to an end, I would like to thank all the committees for doing such a great job during the year. Especially the Amber Light Women’s Committee, Shop Stewards, and EWMC Committee for always helping out when needed. Also, a special shout-out to all the apprentices for stepping up this year and giving back to our local.

The C.O.P.E. Committee, Joshua Margolis, and Lisa Hofmann, along with the volunteers, did a great job with the elections in Nassau and Suffolk Counties. Most of our friends that we endorsed on both sides of the aisle (Democrats and Republicans) won.

On October 23rd Local 25’s Fourth Annual Halloween Party was held at the hall and was a great success. Thank you to all who helped that day. Once again, Jason Ugenti did a great job and all the kids with their families had a fun day.

On the home-front, we have completed LED lighting in the entire building and a new shirt room was added in the back of the hall. Thank you to Tony Zagger and Joe Sgaraglio for painting and maintaining our hall during the year.

Before ending my report, I would like to thank Lacey Cox who is retiring in December after 41 years with Local 25. May he have a long and happy retirement. Also, congratulations to Ricky Viera for being appointed to the Executive Board to complete Lacey’s term.

Finally, the President’s office would like to wish every member and their families a very Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, and Happy Holidays with best wishes for a healthy and prosperous new year.
