Brothers and Sisters,
By the time you receive this Conduit, the political season will be upon us. If you are looking to get involved in C.O.P.E. and helping to shape our Unions future, contact the President’s Office.
Local 25 has a long and rich history in politics here on Long Island since its inception in 1932. Our history is a roadmap on how to continue to keep good paying blue-collar jobs through the building trades and the CBA out here on Long Island. For those Brothers and Sisters who have given countless hours and time away from their families to further the growth of our market share and Union density, we would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your time you gave in the benefit of others. Your hard work and dedication to Local 25 have brought us to where we are today.
We have to look to the future of our local and building from our successes. You and your family are making a huge impact by voting your wallet and supporting politicians that support the building trades. You and your family can take it a step further by our own membership and their families running for office. Positions such as Mayor, Fire Commissioners, School Board Members decide the parameters of the contracts which go out to bid for millions of dollars in construction projects. Please consider coming down and become part of making our union and our families’ futures better.
Your Brother in Solidarity,
Joshua E. Margolis, C.O.P.E. Committee Chairman
